What is PNRGOV message?
Passenger Name Record - the message is used to transfer information about each passenger between airline careers and state security services of a countries that require such information. This standard is step forward of making our world more safe and secure place.
What is DIRECTIVE (EU) 2016/681 of the EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL?
According to it, all countries in the European Union, as well as all countries that have flights to the EU, should monitor passenger traffic and collect centralized passenger data. This is necessary in order to increase the security of the Union in the field of counter-terrorism, the fight against organized crime and serious crime. The directive provides for the scope of the standard to be extended to include the United States and Canada. The standard is well accepted in Asia as well. It is possible to implement it as a working solution in this market as well. The Directive obliges all air operators flying to or from a member state to provide flight data and passenger information to the relevant security services.
The Directive sets PNRGOV (Passenger name records - government) as the standard for communications. This standard will also generate messages for land travel, including rail and bus transport.
